Face down
draped in shadows of the lake
white dress unfolded floats around
her serpent hair swaying in petals of a fragrant lily
the arms, soft and wide, are smiling.
As if she could fly,
as though winged fish
would take her far from
a roaring world
wrapped in hush
on blue-black velvet.
I wish it was just
a fairy dream that ended
in enchantment.

A terrible scene on the tv-news tonight. This girl was missing for a few days already. They found her, finally, but drowned in a lake. It made a huge impact.
