*Dedicated to an Angel of God--My Wife*
*******
~Someday~
Someday, I'll gather moonbeams that reflect in your eyes
and forever keep them in my heart as my prize.
I'll collect rays of sunshine so bright
to warm your heart on a cold winter night.
Someday, I'll capture the rainbow with its pot of gold,
then its sparkle will shine and the beauty unfold.
Wherever you shall look, despite the rain,
it will banish sad thoughts and lingering pain.
Someday, I'll catch beautiful butterflies in a fruit jar,
then sprinkle on you to shine like a morning star.
The stormy wind I will turn into a breeze
which will whisper, "I Love You," through the trees.
Someday, we'll eat supper with Jesus, drink a glass of wine,
then joyfully leave the yesterdays on Earth behind.
The fierce waves of the ocean I'll turn calm,
then hold you warm and safe in my strong arms.
Someday, I'll do all of those things for you--plus more,
then forever, together, Heaven we'll explore.
Throughout eternity, we'll beat as one heart.
What God has joined together, will never break apart.

Author Notes
In August of 2016, my wife became an Angel of God. As I placed a single red rose on her grave I whispered, "Please, Lord, descend upon my heart. Teach me to have faith, feel that Thou art always nigh; teach me the struggles of the soul to bear; to check the rising doubt; the rebel sigh; the patience of unanswered prayer. Teach me to love Thee as thine angels love, one holy passion filling all my frame; the kindling of the Heaven descended dove, my heart an altar, and Thy love the flame. Please, Father, send down an angel to venture with me along the pathway of tomorrow, feel the tranquility of the moment, and to see the beauty of Your creations. Walk with me and the spirit of my wife beyond the heartbreaks of yesterday. Together, as the years walk away, and my hair turns gray, we'll reach and touch our bands of gold--never to grow old in Your Kingdom. "Hello, my friends! Did a tear come to mind as you read the lines? If so, it's okay, cause Jesus wept that day. The next time you look in a mirror, ask yourself, 'Is that LOVE on my face that I see looking back at me?' If it's not, you'll find it waiting just over the hill. So, hurry along . . . and fill your pockets full." Thanks for reading my work. Special thanks to jgrace for the awesome artwork.
