Born in Hobart, Tasmania, don't remember much about being a kid, till I was 8 years, lost a brother who drowned. Moved to the country on berry fruit farm, worked like a slave on the farm. Left school at 16, worked in a sheet metal factory, at 18 hitched hiked around Australia for 2 years, came back to Tassie during the 67 bush fires. Married had 5 kids, have lost 3 over the years. Most of working life was in Forestry and Mining, built a house on acres. Divorced in the 80's, moved to the Derwent Valley, bought a horse and sheep farm, still here, now in my 70's. Have had 3 trips around Australia in my 4wd towing a van, had open heart surgery, still cutting firewood and working with sheep and horses. Been a bit of a roller coaster my life but wouldn't have missed it for quids Writing Prompt Write the entire story of your life in no more than 150 words. You can be experimental, creative, funny, serious, provocative, reflective, whatever style you best feel represents your life. You must write about your entire life, not just a moment of it. No poetry (too easy). No fiction (YOUR life), although metaphors are acceptable so long as they are directly interpretable to be about your life.
