A Sonnet for today Today I think a Sonnet I may write Although I know this style can be quite hard. I  really have to get the meter right I wish I could now call upon the bard. For he would tell me if I get it wrong And guide my hand to help my poem flow. Advise me how to make my Sonnet strong Cause' he's the one who really ought to know. A Sonnet's theme should be about a love Created by the stroke of poets pen. And that is what I truly write thereof My poet's hand creating verse again. So if you read my words I think you'll find  My true love really sits within my mind. Christine 4/4/2018   Recognized Author Notes My 4th poem is an attempt at a Sonnet. Bard means poet and William Shakespeare was one of the greatest Sonnet writer of all time.
