Bases loaded. Last of the ninth. Whiffle bat clenched. White knuckles, heart pounding. Spectators clamoring anticipating victory. Backyard baseball, mosquitoes and crickets. Feels like summer. Recognized Author Notes Earlier this week, there was a contest to write a poem with exactly 25 words. I don't dangle with poetry so I went my own route with this post.
