![]() Vicar Edward’s cassock was threadbare. Parishioners were lukewarm about Faith.
Fundraising for church upkeep was a struggle. ‘Vicar, we can’t put bread on the table,’ they’d retort.
Locking the church doors Edward tripped over the blanket of a homeless man. ‘Vicar, please spare a few pennies for a homeless shelter tonight?’ the man pleaded. Turning and gazing straight into the man’s sad eyes, Edward blurted out, ’grab your blanket and rest at the vicarage tonight.’ Both men stared at each other in disbelief. The vicar wept quietly, wondering if this unfortunate man finally showed him how to be a Christian. =====================================
