Silence of the wind,
Blowing in the night.
He takes my hand,
To hold it tight.
Walking together,
Hearing our feet,
Hit the wooden pier,
As we watch the sun disappear.
He turns towards me,
Brushes my hair,
From my eyes,
And kisses me slowly.
The words he is about to hear,
He has yet to hear,
From my mouth.
I saved them for this day.
“I never thought I would love again.,
Then my eyes crossed paths with yours,
And my heart froze,
As soon as your lips whispered, “Hello.”,
God had help when he brought us together.
My love for you only grows stronger.
‘Til my last breath,
I will always tell you, I love you.”
I watch,
As he wipes a tear,
From his eye.
And a smile shines on his face.
We walked to the car.
As he opened my door,
I couldn't help but look at him,
And say,
“Thank you for loving me,
When I struggle,
To love myself.
I love you.”
