Author Notes
This week event is to write a kigo with your haiku. You may use the club event picture or your own.
KIGO is the Japanese word for season of the year. It represents direct words, as SPRING, SUMMER, WINTER, AND SPRING but you can write substitute words for the seasons. For example: snow for winter, blossoms for spring, hot day for summer, and harvest for autumn. click here for a list of KIGO words
This summer was the hottest summer ever recorded in Korea lasting from mid-June until mid-October with average temperatures in the 90’s F n35 C and 90 percent humidity like a sauna 24/7 with tropical nights never getting below 85 F 30 C Fortunately for Korea wildfires are a Winter/Spring time thing the summers are too humid for fires to last long and it rains almost every day. Winters tend to be drier but colder these days. Last winter was the coldest winter on record as well got down to -75 F one day -24 C
