Down there, the breath of Spring is nigh
Buds swell for op’ning’s leap
Up here, that breath is but a dream
Those buds now set for sleep.
Below, each day finds more sunshine
As birdsong’s depth expands
Above, our ev’ning’s shadows grow...
Quiet ‘midst the nesting lands.
Northward, we feel the cooling air
Respite from summer’s heat
Southward, they welcome nature’s warmth
Ease from winter’s grasp complete
But no matter your location
(Equator notwithstanding)
Springtime heralds Earth’s revival...
Joyful life expanding!
