Babe by jim vecchio
Children's Rhyming Poem writing prompt entry

Hush my babe, the wind’s in the willow

Is your head upon your pillow?

Your eyes that sparkle and beam

Will soon be lost in dream

As Mother Goose sings

Of Toyland things

Happiness

childhood

brings

Your world of dreams one day may be gone

With only mem’ries to go on

Tommy Tucker won’t be there

No Pie Man at the Fair

Rejoice, my babe, now

With moon and cow

As you sleep

And grow,

babe
