Excellent I keep falling asleep at the computer. Too Sleepy to Write by BethShelby Rhyming Poem contest entry

Why is it hard to fall asleep when problems of the day will creep into my mind, and make me keep a tally of some stupid sheep?   Then in the day when I would write, my lids grow heavy in the light. My eyes insist on closing tight, and make coherent thought take flight.   I feel I’ve been bewitched of late. The lunch feels heavy that I ate. I'll likely lapse into REM state, My vows to write each day won't wait.   A writing contest is at stake. Could coffee keep my brain awake? I can’t find anything to take, but here’s my rhyme. Give me a break! Recognized
