Author Notes
My mother made delicious goulash.
When she was growing up ( in the Netherlands) a community of gypsies would winter for months on the outskirts of The Hague. She would often visit them without my grandmother knowing.
She told me they always had a pot of goulash simmering in a huge pot on a wood-fire. They kept on adding meats and vegetables etc.
