I have no problem that's too large
And no concern too small
To find a refuge within prayer.
God understands them all.
And when I bring to Him my needs,
It's then I feel secure.
He hears my voice and sees my heart.
Of that, I can be sure.
When all around is hate and strife,
And I'm in my safe place,
I've peace that's stronger than my fears
As I seek Jesus' face.
I have a haven that is calm
Whenever storms appear.
The great Creator over all
Is right beside me here.
And if I kneel or sit or stand,
In praise or cares releasing,
I'm answering His Word's command
To be in prayer, not ceasing.
When I have sad or dreary days
And disappointment deep,
He reassures my fainting heart,
His promises He'll keep -
That He will answer when I pray,
And He will leave me never,
And when , at last, He calls me home,
I'll be with Him forever.
