Miss You   Missing is akin to needing, needing, begging, dragging, lagging, behind.   The place to be is in the past. Hold on, this too shall pass!   The bottom drawer holds the lace, veiled round a pretty face.   Twoonie given, sign of affection, smallest gestures, giving direction.   Filled with pride yet hidden inside. Should have shared more, should have made the time!   Wanting more is a feeling that may never truly relent.   Memories must suffice of time well spent! Author Notes I had a reviewer call out that they didn't know what a Twoonie is, which is an excellent point. Here in Canada we have not had dollar bills and two dollar bills for decades. A Twoonie is a euphemism for our two dollar coin. My mom while she was still alive would always send off her grandchild, my son with a Twoonie as we were leaving after a visit. Although, she has been gone for near twenty years, I think of her often.
