Some may seem small, others tall
God has a use for us all
When an infant, she lost sight,
Father died when six months old
But Fanny’s hopes remained bright
Through her words, God’s love was told
With her words, many a song,
She gained fame by the whole world
For she praised God all day long
As through her God’s truths unfurled
In her forties, wrote a hymn
Then more, sometimes without name
Not a one was sour and grim
Though if they were, who would blame?
Without a dad, without sight
And coming from broken home
She showed us God’s shining light
In many a song and poem
Over nine thousand songs
And speeches and in writing
In churches, her fame prolongs
Love of God, never hiding
Some may seem small, others tall
God has a use for us all
