It was a star, like the others up in the night sky. But it wasn't.
This star moved. Not like a comet or shooting star, but dropped in a straight line until it stopped, just above my head.
"Ed!" He was looking the other way, oblivious.
I felt my eyes pulsating in time to the star's beat.
"Ed! You'll miss it!"
Before he turned, that star expanded.
Pop! It was gone.
"What will I miss?"
The word 'star' danced on the tip of my tongue. I swallowed it down, knowing he'd never believe me.
