Dancing dandelions
dressed in yellow liveries
proudly carry summer's banners.
Trooping over the fields and road sides,
they blithely entreat us to blow their fluff.
'Close your eyes and make your wish', they seem to say.
Like dancing dervishes, puff balls float up the sky.
But wishes fall flat, lie buried in the Mother Earth's lap.
