Joy is like a simple spark  Smiles and cheer in the dark  Despite the trails and the pain  The pleasure still remains the same A glimmer of a hope undiminished  Will carry you 'till your finished Throughout your life, content and glad  With the spark of joy you've had Remember though things may be bad  That doesn't mean you must be sad A little spark of joy can carry you awhile  Whether two small steps or walking a mile Through the pain just remember  Joy is light like an ember  Hidden within the dark  Joy is shining like a spark      Author Notes I always like to think positive, so maybe that's why I picked joy. And I think it's a good reminder that even through life's hardest trials we don't have to be consumed by grief, we can still have hope. I'm not saying you should be happy or joyful all the time, but you can still look forward to a better future and hold onto your hope.
