Stankey Futtleheart was not your typical pet, she was different in a way I could never put my finger on. She didn't like the cat food I bought her, no matter which bowl I put it in. She wouldn't use the cat flap either, no matter how hard I cajoled; and when I tried her with a collar, she just walked backwards until I removed it. Then one evening when I was brushing her coat Stankey stood up on her hind legs looked me in the eyes and said; “you know I'm not a cat don't you?”  “Yes,” I lied.
