Stronghold by kiwisteveh

Our love has built a fortress, stone on stone,
To stand against the whims of fickle fate,
Where jealousy by faith is overthrown;
Temptation's tempest cannot breach the gate.

So never fear the rattling pelt of rain
Nor tremble at the shrieking of the gale.
The raging storm may clamour loud in vain,
But all assault will come to no avail.

Though winter through the years may tear apart
A lodging many thought was built to last
And shatter vows made with a solemn heart,
Against his rage our walls will yet stand fast.

So shudder not at wind that claws the roof;
Within my arms you're safe, by love made proof.
