What strange form, just above me, do I see?
A black perception test of Rorschach ilk?
Mayhaps, 'tis just a shadow in a tree,
or possibly a kite of lost black silk.
Yet, why shouldst I be troubled by such sight?
'Tis out of reach! Tantalus breach my thought!
'Though sudden motions didn't seem quite right,
there was no reason to become distraught.
Oh, now I see the wings within its form!
Am I a mole to miss this all along?
Hast come to life within its species norm,
and burst out with a lovely evening song.
Yae, now I know my anguish was absurd,
to be confounded by a little bird.
