If I was God, I'd cure the cold,
I'd put an end to growing old
And see that no more lies were told,
If I was God.
No one would have to deal with pain,
Man wouldn't have to pray for rain,
We'd all be on the gravy train,
If I was God.
If some things didn't go as planned,
There'd always be a helping hand,
And criticizing would be banned,
If I was God.
No juicy gossip would be heard,
That classic pot would not be stirred,
And everyone would keep their word,
If I was God.
If I was God, there'd be no money,
The land would flow with milk and honey,
Each day would be both warm and sunny,
If I was God.
No sickness now, we'd all be well,
There'd be no need to shout and yell,
Old Scratch would be alone in Hell,
If I was God.
Now we would all breathe clean fresh air,
And live our lives without a care,
No one would have a cross to bear,
If I was God.
No problem now would be too small,
I'd be there at your beck and call,
Prosperity for one and all,
If I was God.
But I think we can all agree
If God looked down on us He'd see
I'd have my work cut out for me
If I was God.
