Agony Agony~deep pain, as you slam the door. Cries do not help as I ponder, “What more?” I care that you’ve left without a resolve … yet, knowing tomorrow this will dissolve. Oh, the hurt is too hard for me to bear … wanting to escape, but also to share. Hard feelings erupted into a fight, trying now to make things perfectly right. But, the door is slammed, you’ll likely be gone. Hopes for our love are all surely withdrawn. Writing Prompt Share with us one of your oldest pieces of poetry, exactly as you wrote it. It doesn't need to be your earliest work - just something old enough that you can see your progression as a writer. I want to see all those excessive ellipses, capitals at the start of every line, the abundance of semicolons, the pretentious repetition, the unnecessary line spaces that are..... SO..... IMPORTANT.... to my art! I want you to swear on your honour you won't edit it before posting (adding an image is allowed, as we're in Fanstory Land). Other than that, no limitations. Go digging in your old school notebooks with random scribblings in them - find us something fun and interesting! Recognized Author Notes I kept all my poems written in pencil in a drawer until recently, when I found them and began reading them. I promise that this is just as I found it ... and of course I am dying to correct things. I was 20 years old in 1968 ... That was 55 years ago! I have been writing since I was 10 years old, feel that poetry is a part of me, if that makes sense. Thank you for reading ...
