John fastened his 'plane seatbelt for the first time in four years.
Rekindling an old flame, from his twenties, on Facebook, had not been on his radar until Covid claimed his partner, Josie. He didn't plan on sharing his lovelorn adventure with his grandchildren in Perth. They might think Gramps was a little crazy. On disembarkation, he caught sight of Maria, holding a sunflower as planned. Her olive skin glistened in the sunlight. Soon the pair sped off into a Spanish sunset. ******************
