Writing Prompt
One line monokus.
Any subject, except erotica.
Monokus are seventeen syllables
or fewer. Slight or no punctuation,
lower case letters. There is a pause in the poem, I use four
periods which is standard as far as I know.
Author Notes
During the school year, teachers often come home physically and emotionally exhausted, and their own family members suffer because of this. As a middle school teacher, I had in a week 100 to 110 students to enter my classroom. At the end of most school days, I had little to offer my own child. My best energy was given to other people's children. Now, it is too late to compensate for that mistake in judgement.
