Punching in the circuits
Punching together the components
All the way down the assembly line
Assembling parts

As long as the power is on.

Author Notes
More than anything else, this was composed as a musical exercise. I wanted to try and create a mechanical rhythm through repetitions of words and phrases, a steady, hammering rhythm reminiscent of a production line. There's also an attempt to comment on the soullessness of this kind of creation, the generic quality of it. Much of the style here harkens back to poetry from my second book of poetry, Patterns, which can be found in my portfolio. estory
