Visiting friends that live alone,
Calling a neighbor on the phone.
Accept your friends the way they are
And believe that they can go far.
Help a close friend conquer their fears
And wipe away all of their tears.
Say, "I sure appreciate you,"
"I am sorry," "thank you" too.
When they grieve, give them time to heal.
Try to find out the way they feel.
Share an embrace and a warm smile.
Support a loved one through their trial.
Encourage your friends; give them praise,
Take them to movies, pageants, plays.
