A tiny, embryonic seed
She will fulfill its every need
Born in a cascade of water and blood
She brings forth a blossoming bud
She comes to babysit
Though as mother, she's judged unfit
Three little boys wrap her in love
A blessed message from above
She teaches in the schools
Directing each child in all the rules
Helping them in their education
With motherly love and dedication

Author Notes
I became a mother in 1986, and did my best to fulfill his needs, but anger and emotional problems as well as practical problems got in the way. Several years later, I acquired a babysitting job, and the mother kept me on even though the Department of Children and Families told her not to use me as a babysitter because of mental illness. I volunteered and also got a paid position as a substitute teacher and lunch/recess monitor in the public schools. These were the faces of motherhood. Thanks to Pixabay
