He laughs without care
Little boy becomes a man
Farmer goes to his rest
Sad young man pensively plans
How to feather the nest
This determined young man
In his navy-blue suit
Becomes an accountant
with a bonus to boot
He asks his mom to dinner
Don't worry I will pay
The waitress smiles to herself
As she goes on her way
'Neath brimming toasts to her corporate host
Mom whispers one lost prayer
Where oh where is that sweet little boy
She used to swing in the air?
