Yelling that you're sorry isn't going to make them hear you. They didn't listen to you before. Just fed you platitudes and told you to 'keep your chin up.' Now, they're wishing they'd taken notice of your cries for help. Instead, they're reading your last words through their tears. We should go now. It's over. For you, at least.
