I build a fortress for my mind,
lest foes will breach, a weakness find.
They do not know my secret place,
where wisdom builds on freedom's face,
where faith can see, but hearts are blind.
My old, dark ways, I've left behind,
I've turned away from chains that bind,
because they weave and mask God's grace.
I build a fortress...
As one should never be defined,
to be disabled and confined,
But all wise options should embrace,
to live by faith, in wisdom's face,
and with trust's presence be aligned.
I build a fortress...
