A Child's Complaint by AnnieDawn
Poem With These Words Contest Winner

I love my Mom. Know right from wrong.
When did child labor come along?
She tries to work me half to death.
I don't have time to take a breath.

She says my room's a filthy mess.
Can't see what causes so much stress.
A few clothes strewn, well maybe more.
Dishes and pop cans on the floor.

I hate to clean so hid the dust
Under the bed with pizza crust.
The messy doesn't bother me.
Just sets off Mother's OCD.

Author Notes
Children always complain that they are overworked when they are asked to clean their rooms. What wasted effort when they stash things under the bed and fill closets when their belongings could be put in the proper places.
