The Lion's Mane mushroom is king of the mushroom world. They look like a lion's furry mane as they ripen in the wild. They taste great when pan seared and cooked in olive oil with garlic and thyme. Eating Lion's Mane or taking supplements offers cognitive support, curbs inflammation, boosts immunity among other health benefits.
Hericium erinaceus (also called lion's mane mushroom, monkey head mushroom, bearded tooth mushroom, satyr's beard, bearded hedgehog mushroom, pom pom mushroom) belongs to the tooth fungus group.
