Treasure Hunters

tall ships
fearless voyagers
sailing the seven seas for centuries
seeking gold for God and country
battling storms
victims of
Neptune's victories

broken bottles
sea glass
precious little pieces of ancient history
resurrected by waves from Neptune's realm
time's treasures
relics preserved
in museums

candles lit
widows mourned
lives forever changed by ocean's rage
history repeats herself when new generation
defies Neptune
diving deep
for gold
