Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level
A shove performs a miracle

The Shove that Heals

by Pamusart

His mind’s ablaze, his mood suppressed
Until it swells like ocean’s crest
It reaches out with salted spray
To ask him why he’s here today

He stands atop a jagged cliff
His aching muscles feel so stiff
Just two small steps and he will die
He wrote a note to say goodbye

He takes a step but he can’t jump
His feelings, though, are in the dump
He asks himself if he can fly
But all he does is start to cry

He’s now convinced himself to go
His other foot now pokes out low
Then came a forceful backward shove
He’s never felt such peaceful love

Still suicide is an issue that we should all be concerned about.

Call 911 if you or someone else is threatening suicide

This poem is talking about divine intervention. Do you think that is what happened here?

Suicide hotline is 988
