Voices

by JLR

Hear the richness of the human voice.
Is it noise or music? It's your choice.
Voices are unique, like our bodies,
both in gentlemen and ladies.

Every voice is like an orchestra.
The directors have a formula.
Joining into one a wind section jammed
of both lungs, ribcage, and diaphragm.

With the richly vibrant string section
Bringing alive a sweet complexion.
Tuning male and female vocal cords
giving conductors many rewards.

Choirs clearly produce sounds in twelve tones
of music rounds in visual zones.
The cavemen employed their voices limber
with an array of pitch and timbre.

Talking, laughing, sobbing, screaming
Shouting, yelling, humming, or singing.
Projecting rich vibrato, whether
singing loud or soft as a feather.

Listen to Bass, Baritone, and Tenor voicing ...
Countertenor, Contralto, Alto; rejoicing,
when Mezzo-Soprano, Soprano blends in.
Hearing where the vocal sections'  ends in.
