Grandkids, cell phone and pictures out

There's more that I'd be lost without .

As I ran through that burning doo r

That voice inside I just ignore

Hear this message from your mind
You don't see what you left behind

Then I run back and look around 

Computer-iPads what I found

Are these the things that I must get

What I believe I've not found yet

Stop and think before you leap
The most essential thing to keep 

This place looks like some bar room brawls

I see my Precious Moment Dolls

Is this what I've been thinking of

These special dolls were gifts of love

Important things you have forgot
God's greatest gifts cannot be bought   

I need to look once more to see

My Bible means so much to me

The pictures that my grandkids drew

It's not like I can get brand new

There's something you must now remember
You too could be a smoldering ember

Ran out to take a deep long breath 

Going back could mean the kiss of death 

So now that I have time to think

Material items weren't the link

Hear this message loud and clear
What you're to find is not in here

If I had stopped to rest a bit 

The real message would then have hit 

That's what that voice was trying to say

To use my head and stay away

You heard the message from your mind
Your common sense had just gone blind
