A love gone to soon

Sweet Memories

Sometimes at night
In that place between sleep and waking
Memories come alive.
 
I’m in your arms again,
Safe and secure
In your tenderness
 
My fingers tracing the contours.
Of your lips
Remembering the passion they stirred
 
My heart smiles,
At the laugh lines around eyes that
Mystical shade between brown and green
 
Few will ever find what we shared, my love

Now just sweet memories ….
