Write A Sonnet
Poetry Contest
This is to be a sonnet in a traditional form of your choice.
It is expected to be in iambic pentameter. However, due to the nuances involved with meter, there will be no disqualifications for variations in meter.
You are expected to have at least ten syllables per line and no more than eleven. That is plenty of latitude.
Black font on default grey background only. A single font no more than 20pts in size. No bold lettering or variations in size. However, you may use italics WHEN APPROPRIATE and only then.
No author's notes other than to thank an artist.
Nothing in the description box other than the type of sonnet you are submitting.
Please put no more than a poetry treasure chest on your piece for promotion until the voting is complete.
This is an attempt to make as level a playing field as possible. All the pieces should look the same and pay the same for reviews.
Please point out any possible rules violations to your fellow writers. I hate seeing someone disqualified over an easy fix. (Especially me!)
